True Tides announce new single I Can't Wait

RTÉ Choice Music Prize nominees True Tides have announced their new single, titled I Can't Wait.

Cian, Conor and Eoghan MacSweeny will release I Can't Wait via Warner Music Ireland on Friday, February 19, marking their first new music of 2021.

Lead singer Cian said of the track: "Lockdown kind of forced us to approach things in a different way. We were sending each other ideas and then sharing our responses over zooms and calls.

"But despite that challenge, the song just came together really quickly and the lyrics just seemed to flow immediately for me. It was actually a really exciting process as the song came together. It really feels like our best track so far."

The brothers from Cork are nominated for the Song of the Year at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize 2020 on March 4 for Survive. Song of the Year will be decided by a public vote, open now until February 28.

True Tides made their first Official Irish Homegrown Chart appearance last August, when Break The Silence reached Number 20. Vocalist Cian also co-wrote Light Me Up from The Coronas' 2020 Number 1 album True Love Waits.
