Welcome to your New Music Friday round-up, here to serve you the biggest music and home entertainment releases of the week.

Let's kick things off with albums, shall we?

Swifties, assemble. This week, Taylor Swift serves up her 11th studio LP The Tortured Poets Department. Teaming up with Bleachers' Jack Antonoff and The National's Aaron Dessner on songwriting and production duties, the record includes collaborations with Post Malone (opening track Fortnight) and Florence & The Machine (Florida!!!).

Could The Tortured Poets Department earn Taylor a 12th Number 1 album ahead of the UK leg of The Eras Tour this summer?

Bruce Springsteen delivers his eighth compilation, Best Of Bruce Springsteen, this week. Spanning four decades of hits and much-loved album tracks from 'The Boss', could the album prove Taylor's toughest competition for the top spot? Should it make it, it'd become the New Jersey legend's 13th UK Number 1 record.

Also celebrating an illustrious career are Birmingham-formed reggae-pop outfit UB40. The group's latest compilation UB45 which marks - you guessed it - 45 years in music includes seven brand-new tracks, plus fresh recordings of classics including Red Red Wine and Kingston Town. Is a 17th Top 10 record on the horizon?

Washington-born rockers Pearl Jam return with their 12th studio album Dark Matter, introduced by title track Dark Matter and focus track Wreckage. They'll be hoping for a 10th UK Top 10 LP with the release.

Elsewhere, Pink Floyd reissue their 1973 classic The Dark Side Of The Moon on 50th anniversary collector's edition vinyl, featuring a special UV artwork print on its non-playable side.

Now, let's talk singles.

Will Young makes his return to unashamed, unabashed pop with Falling Deep. The first track lifted from his upcoming ninth studio album Light It Up, the single sees Will team up with Danish production duo Peter Wallevik and Daniel Davidsen, better known as PhD (Kylie Minogue, One Direction, Little Mix). Welcome back, Will!

Following the announcement of their upcoming album Romance, the follow-up to 2022 chart-topper Skinty Fia, Fontaines D.C. deliver its first single Starburster, as fellow Irish export Cian Ducrot releases brand-new track Here It Is.

Remember Jen & Liv, winners of 2023's The Voice UK? Well, they're back - under a shiny new moniker. The duo drop Heartbeat, their first release as HUNNI, this week. Read our exclusive chat with HUNNI here.

The X Factor series 14 star Grace Davies returns with empowering anthem Illuminate. The track serves as the official song of the Roma 2024 European Athletics Championships 2024, and if anything's gonna get our lazy arses off the sofa this weekend, it's this. Those vocals.

Elsewhere, Belgian DJ Lost Frequencies joins forces with David Kushner on In My Bones, Sia and Paris Hilton unleash Fame Won't Love You and Kelly Clarkson hops on a brand-new version of James Arthur's From The Jump; lifted from his chart-topping album Bitter Sweet Love.
