The Weeknd is Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart for the second time in his career.

The Canadian leads the Top 50 with Blinding Lights, up four places from last week’s Number 5. The Weeknd was last Number 1 four-and-a-half years ago with Can’t Feel My Face in August 2015.

Blinding Lights is The Weeknd’s 22nd Top 50 hit in Ireland and was released at the end of November last year alongside Heartless.

UK rapper J Hus scores this week’s highest new entry with Play Play ft. Burna Boy (38), ahead of four songs which crack the Top 50 for the first time. Australian singer Tones and I claims her second chart hit with the follow-up to her smash Dance Monkey called Never Seen The Rain (47), Ohioan rapper DaBaby enters with Bop (48), Canadian singer Ali Gatie’s new single What If I Told You That I Love You debuts on the chart in first week of release (49), and Mustard’s Ballin’ featuring Roddy Ricch rounds out the Top 50 (50).
