The Weeknd returns to Irish Number 1 with Blinding Lights, scores highest new entry with After Hours

The Weeknd returns to Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart this week with Blinding Lights, taking out the week’s highest new entry as well with After Hours.

Blinding Lights scores the most downloads and streams this week to knock Billie Eilish’s No Time To Die down to Number 3. After Hours, the third single from the Canadian’s upcoming album of the same name, debuts at Number 14, his 23rd Irish Chart hit.

There are new peaks in this week’s Top 10 for Saint Jhn’s Roses (2), and Halsey’s You Should Be Sad (6), and UK DJ Joel Corry nets his second Top 10 with Lonely, up six places to Number 8.

K-pop boyband BTS secure their fourth Irish Chart single with ON at Number 22, while Los Angeles rising star Ashe scores her first Top 50 hit in Ireland with Moral Of The Story at Number 23; the track, first released in April 2019, has gained in prominence after being used on Netflix movie To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You.

Harry Styles’ new single Falling returns to the Top 50 at 35 – the song’s official music video is released today.

Canadian rapper Powfu and British pop artist Beabadoobee make their Irish chart debuts at Number 36 with Death Bed following the song’s usage on TikTok, and the social media app also sends California rap artist 24kGoldn’s popularity skyrocketing – he enters the Top 50 at Number 37 with City of Angels.

Selena Gomez’ new single Feel Me is a new entry at Number 42, and finally, after being played during the Super Bowl and spreading ever since, Sunday Best gives Texan duo Surfaces their first Top 50 entry at Number 48.
