The Weeknd has scored his second US Number 1 this week with The Hills, toppling his previous chart-topper Can’t Feel My Face (Number 3 today) from pole position.

The feat makes The Weeknd the first artist to succeed himself at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 since Taylor Swift’s Blank Space knocked Shake It Off off the top spot last year, and the first male to do so since TI in 2008.

Elsewhere, Justin Bieber’s What Do You Mean is up one place to 2, while Silento’s Watch Me holds firm at 4.

Selena Gomez rounds out the Top 5 scoring her highest charting US single to date with Good For You feat. ASAP Rocky, at 5. The singer also boasts this week’s top debut with Revival track Same Old Love entering at Number 43.

R. City’s Locked Away feat. Adam Levine scores a new Billboard Hot 100 peak at Number 6, as Drake scores this week’s only Top 10 new entry, with Hotline Bling, at 9.

Shawn Mendes’ Stitches (12) and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' Downtown feat. Eric Nally, Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee and Grandmaster Caz (16) both also score new personal bests.

Stitches has been creeping up the charts for nearly a year. Definitely a sleeper hit.

The past 3 weeks are the first in Hot 100 history where the top 3 songs are all by Canadian acts. (And all 3 songs have rotated through the #1, #2 & #3 positions in those 3 weeks.)
With Drake at #9, and Mendes bulleting at #12, it's very possible that half of next week's top could be by Canadian acts (and all from the Toronto area)!
