As far as support acts go, they don't really get any bigger than The Rolling Stones' on their upcoming UK tour.

The rock 'n' roll legends have confirmed that Britpop royalty Liam Gallagher and BRIT Award winning Florence + The Machine are opening for them on the No Filter UK tour, which kicks off in London on May 22.

Liam Gallagher supports The Stones on their opening night, with Florence Welch and her band opening for the rock gods on May 25 at London Stadium. It is safe to say that Liam is pretty pleased.

That's not all - a stellar line-up of names are also joining The Rolling Stones on their UK shows outside of the capital. The Vaccines will appear in Southampton, while Elbow, James Bay, The Specials and Richard Ashcroft are also confirmed.

The Rolling Stones most recent studio album Blue & Lonesome was a runaway success, debuting at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart in December 2016, becoming the year's second fastest-selling release. Blue & Lonesome became the Stones' 12th UK Number 1 album; the only acts with more are The Beatles and Elvis Presley. Click here to look back at The Rolling Stones' complete Official UK Chart history
