The Kooks launch new album Listen with live show

The Kooks have launched their upcoming album Listen with a live show in London.

The band – made up of Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris, Peter Denton and Alexis Nunez – performed a selection of songs from the collection at a Vevo Go-Show gig sponsored by Malibu.

As well as previewing five tracks from the record, they played a number of their classics, including debut single Eddie’s Gun, Naïve and She Moves In Her Own Way.

Listen, which is released on September 1 through Virgin Records, marks the band’s first album in three years, after 2011’s Junk Of The Heart peaked at Number 10 on the Official Albums Chart.

The band’s 2006 debut, Inside In/Inside Out, entered at Number 2, while follow-up Konk topped the chart in 2008.

The Kooks have also scored ten Top 40 singles in their career, with 2008’s Always Where I Need To Be being their highest peak at Number 3.
