The Killers score their fifth Irish Number 1 album with Imploding The Mirage

New albums from The Waterboys, Walking On Cars and Jamie Webster also land in this week's Irish Albums Chart.

The Killers are Number 1 in Ireland for the first time in almost eight years with their new album Imploding The Mirage.

The Las Vegas group’s sixth studio album debuts at the top of this week’s Official Irish Albums Chart after scoring the most paid-for sales of the last seven days, replacing Folklore by Taylor Swift at the helm.

Imploding The Mirage is the band’s fifth Number 1 in total following Hot Fuss (2005), Sam’s Town (2006), Day & Age (2008) and Battle Born (2012). 2017’s Wonderful Wonderful peaked at Number 2.
