There’s no stopping the juggernaut that is The Greatest Showman, as the hit musical’s Motion Picture Cast Recording returns to the top spot to claim a 15th week at Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart.

The soundtrack, which has yet to leave the Top 10 since making its Irish chart debut in January, topples last week’s chart-topper, Taylor Swift’s Reputation, which slides from 1 to 10 after enjoying a boost from her two shows at Dublin’s Croke Park as part of her Reputation World Tour earlier this month.

The late rapper XXXTentacion’s two studio albums ascend - his latest record, ?, climbs from 5 to 2, claiming the biggest independently-released album of this week, while his 2017 debut 17 jumps 11 to 9.

Meanwhile, Picture This rebound from 8 to Number 3 with their self-titled debut after playing their biggest show yet at Dublin’s RDS Arena last Saturday.

New entries and high climbers

This week’s highest new entry goes to US band Panic! At The Disco, who land at Number 7 with their sixth album Pray For The Wicked.

Further down, two popular greatest hits albums return to the Top 40: The Killers’ Direct Hits – released in 2013 – vaults from 44 to 15 following their date at the RDS Arena earlier this week, and Billy Joel’s Greatest Hits Vol 1 & 2 zooms 42 to 19 after his recent show at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.

Finally, in the same week that Sir Paul McCartney got behind the wheel for a special episode of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, The Beatles’ retrospective 1 returns to the Irish Albums Chart at Number 29, and US singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha bows at Number 40 with her debut collection Expectations.
