The biggest tracks on TikTok this year by UK artists have been revealed.

As part of the social media platform's Year on TikTok Music Report unveils the stats and figures for the songs by British artists that have captured the attention of TikTok users over the past year. 

Coming out on top on the list are Tion Wayne and Russ Millions, whose remix of their UK Number 1 single Body with ArrDee, E1, ZT, Bugzy Malone, Buni, Fivio Foreign and Darkoo was the Number 1 song by UK artists used in the creation of TikTok videos. 

Earlier this year, Tion and Russ made UK chart history when Body hit Number 1, making it the first drill single to ever top the Official Singles Chart. The track also proved to be a breakout moment for Brighton rapper ArrDee, who used the viral success of his remix verse to traverse into a solo career, so far earning three UK Top 10 singles in less than six months.

There are more surprises in the Top 10 too. Like I Can, a 2014 single by Sam Smith from their first album In The Lonely Hour makes an appearance at Number 2. Following its resurgence on TikTok the up-beat track actually re-entered the Singles Chart for the first time since its release.

At Number 3, it's breakout act PinkPantheress with Just For Me, who used the social clout from posting demos online to sign a major label record deal, scoring her first-ever UK Top 20 album in the process. 

Charli XCX may now be transitioning back into mainstream commercial pop with her upcoming fifth album Crash, but Unlock It (Lock It) a fan favourite track from her Pop 2 mixtape featuring Kim Petras and Korean rapper Jay Park was another cult hit that TikTok stans made popular in 2021.

The rest of the Top 10 is populated by the likes of Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran and another breakout act of 2021, former Love Island contestant turned pop star Wes Nelson.
