The 2016 stars of Carpool Karaoke get into the Christmas spirit - watch

The cheeky Mr. James Corden and the team at The Late Late Show have surprised fans with a brand-new Christmas Carpool Karaoke compilation that has been planned all year long.

New footage sees a remarkably festive Mariah Carey haelping James with his Christmas shopping, the pair sat in-front of tons of Xmas gifts in the back of the car. The two then begin to sing Mariah's classic Christmas hit All I Want For Christmas, and are joined by the other major names.

Although we didn't know it, many of the Carpool segment's biggest names from the year had all secretly recorded themselves signing Mimi's big festive hit when on their trips with James, names such as Adele, Sir Elton John, Lady Gaga and Chris Martin.

Shout out to Lady Gaga and Adele who really nail the high notes and members of Red Hot Chili Peppers who are having a right old rave in the back seat.

James himself is a contender for the Christmas Number 1 single back here in the UK, with his single The Greatest Gift for Christmas is Me, a song taken from Sainsbury's 2016 Xmas advertising campaign. View the full list of contenders here.
