Taylor Swift earns a personal best this week, as The Tortured Poets Department becomes her longest-running Number 1 album in the UK.

As she brings The Eras Tour here, Taylor’s 11th studio LP nets a sixth non-consecutive week at the top; surpassing her previous best of five non-consecutive weeks with 2022’s Midnights. Taylor retains her reign thanks, in part, to the release of new, UK-exclusive digital formats including previously-unreleased bonus live recordings.

The Eras Tour effect also sees five classic Taylor albums on the ascent inside the Top 40: Lover is up 12 (7), 1989 (Taylor’s Version) also lifts 12 (9), Midnights jumps 13 (13), folklore leaps 11 (14) and reputation vaults 17 (19).

After taking a lead earlier in the week, Charli xcx’s acclaimed sixth LP BRAT secures a Number 2 debut. Earning Charli her biggest opening week to date, BRAT’s first-week total eclipses that of her 2022 chart-topper CRASH.

BRAT also lands at Number 1 on the Official Vinyl Albums Chart, crowned the best-selling record of the week on wax, and Official Record Store Chart, the most popular physical album of the past seven days in UK independent record shops.

Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA matches her previous Official Albums Chart peak this week. What Happened To The Heart? enjoys a Number 8 debut, joining 2022’s The Gods We Can Touch as her second Top 10 LP to date.

Meghan Trainor’s latest release Timeless earns her a third UK Top 40 LP (12), now sitting alongside 2015 debut Title (1) and 2016’s Thank You (5) in her Top 40 tally.

A pity the album's sh"t

Her fans can vote me down all they like, but there's a reason why the critics gave it bad reviews.

Not even surprised with Taylor's tour currently in the UK. I feel like 'The Tortured Poets Department' is only her longest-running #1 album because of that. She's released a lot better projects imo.

Disappointed that the last-minute sales push meant that Charli was denied the top spot! 😔

She was indeed! So disappointed...
