It looks like there'll be new Number 1s on both the Official Irish Albums and Singles Charts this week.

Taylor Swift's new album Lover is all-but-certain to debut at Number 1 this Friday as it leads the sales tally at today's midweek point. Lover is currently outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined.

Lover is on track to become Taylor's fourth Number 1 album in Ireland, following Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017).

Taylor is set for more success over on the Official Irish Singles Chart, as the album's title track Lover is up eight places to Number 6, on course to earn the star a 12th Top 10 hit. Popular album tracks The Man and Cruel Summer could claim Top 20 debuts, currently occupying Numbers 14 and 19.

Meanwhile, leading the singles Top 50 at this stage is Tones & I. The Australian's breakthrough single Dance Monkey has already topped the charts in her native country, plus Norway and Sweden.

Dance Monkey entered the Top 50 for the first time at Number 31 two weeks ago, climbing to Number 11 last Friday. Now the song is up a further ten positions and has the edge on Ed Sheeran & Khalid's Beautiful People by just over 400 combined sales.

Find out the final chart positions for both Taylor Swift & Tones & I on The National Chart Show with Blathnaid Tracey on RTÉ 2FM this Friday (August 30) at 7pm.

I would love for Dance Monkey to get to #1.
