Sinead O'Connor to release new album No Veteran Dies Alone in January 2022

The legendary Irish musician originally intended to release the seven-track album in 2021.

Sinéad O’Connor has provided an update on her upcoming eleventh studio album.

Confirmed to be titled No Veteran Dies Alone by US talk host Carson Daly, the record will now be released in January 2022, having originally been pencilled in for “late 2021”.

“I have an album coming out in January,” Sinead told Steve Wright today (June 2) on BBC Radio 2, appearing to promote her new memoir Rememberings, which was released on June 1.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, it was revealed that No Veteran Dies Alone will be a seven-track album. Sinead told her Twitter followers in December that the collection's undisclosed cover art was designed by Donegal illustrator Jacob Stack.

No Veteran Dies Alone will be produced by Belfast musician David Holmes, who described Sinéad’s vocal on the impending LP’s title track as “undeniable”.

No Veteran Dies Alone is Sinéad O'Connor's 11th studio album and first since 2014's I'm Not Bossy, I'm The Boss which peaked at Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart.

In October 2020 Sinéad released a cover of Mahalia Jackson's Trouble Of The World, with 100% of the song's digital revenue going to Black Lives Matter charities. The song peaked at Number 16 on the Official Irish Homegrown Chart.
