Sigala and Rita Ora join forces on a song built to soundtrack the summer.

UPDATE: Listen to Sigala and Rita Ora's summery team-up You For Me, co-written by Charli XCX, below.

Like digging out your favourite shorts from the recesses of your wardrobe, you know summer has truly arrived when Sigala releases his annual summer dance-pop banger. True to form, the DJ/producer returns with his new single, titled You For Me, this Friday (July 2).

For the unenlightened, a quick recap on Sigala’s summer anthems:

Give Me Your Love ft. John Newman & Nile Rodgers (2016)
Came Here For Love ft. Ella Eyre (2017)
Lullaby ft. Paloma Faith (2018)
Wish You Well ft. Becky Hill (2019)
Heaven On My Mind with Becky Hill (2020)

10s across the board, we’re sure you’ll agree. View Sigala's Official Chart history in full so far here.

Continuing the tradition, You For Me is another blockbuster collaboration, featuring the vocal talents of Rita Ora and the songwriting excellence of Charli XCX.

“I dance to every song like it’s about you/ I drink ‘til I kiss someone who likes you/ I wish that I was on this when I had you/ I should have told you that I wanted you for me,” Rita sings on the chorus over bright and boyant piano house beats.

Like Sigala’s previous summer singles, You For Me manages to capture the essence of summer in under three minutes – whether its actual poolside cocktails at sunset or just watching it on Love Island. As Sigala puts it himself: “It’s euphoric, it’s happy, and I’m hoping it’s a sign of things to come.”
