Shawn Mendes' 2019 tour dates will be supported by Alessia Cara

The UK leg of Shawn Mendes' self-titled world tour is underway, and fellow Canadian Alessia Cara is joining him as the support act.

Alessia will open for Shawn on all of his UK, Europe and US dates, which includes three nights at London's O2 arena.

She's a star in her own right already, with two Top 10 singles in the UK as well as a Top 20 album with her debut release Know-It-All. This isn't her first foray into huge arena tours either - she supported Coldplay in Europe in 2016.

The UK leg of the mammoth world tour has already kicked off, delighting fans at Glasgow's SSE Hydro on April 6 and Manchester Arena on April 7. It will continue on to Leeds, Birmingham and London.
