Saint Jhn is on course for a second week at Number 1 with Roses.

The New Yorker’s breakthrough hit has made a strong start on today's Official Chart: First Look and is nearly 4,000 chart sales ahead of The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights (2). In its 11 weeks on chart so far, Roses climbed for the first nine before spending two weeks at Number 2. It then nabbed the Number 1 last Friday by just 210 chart sales.

The Official Chart: First Look airs on BBC Radio 1 each Sunday between 6pm – 7pm and offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

Dua Lipa’s latest song Physical could reach the Top 5 for the first time. Fresh from a new remix featuring K-pop star Hwa Sa, the second single from Dua’s upcoming album Future Nostalgia lifts to Number 5.

Following the release of his new album After Hours, The Weeknd has two more songs in the Top 20, with Alone Again at 14 and Too Late at 17.

We could see the Official Chart return for Kenny Rogers this week after the country legend’s passing on Friday (March 20). Based on early download and streaming figures, Kenny’s duet with Dolly Parton Islands in the Stream could make its first Top 40 appearance in over 36 years and is currently at Number 40. Solo song The Gambler is just outside at Number 43.

The Official Singles Chart is revealed here on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Listen to the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1's Official Chart show with Scott Mills every Friday from 4pm.

Surprised Blinding Lights is still #2 despite being on ACR. Must've been the album boost!

Fair play to dua lipa. Physical I’m proper growing into now and don’t start now still going strong !

'Physical' is definitely a grower, but it was already a 10/10 from me on first listen! :)

'Don't Start Now' still surviving ACR is just incredible at this point.

I always thought ACR started when a song was 10 weeks old but it isn't for Dua? How come?

ACR only happens if a song is at least 10 weeks old AND has declined in streams for three consecutive weeks.

It really is! 100% don’t start now will be one of the biggest songs of the year with good reason! And wuth everyone locked down at home it’s gonna be interesting to see if that affects the chart as I feel streaming will massively increase

Yeah, it's very much deserved! Did you see that Dua Lipa's album release has been brought forward a week, so this coming Friday.

It's also for songs that have declined in performance for three consecutive weeks (relative to the general music market), which 'Don't Start Now' just hasn't been able to do yet.

Didn’t know this! Guess it means don’t start now may have another few weeks in the top 10😂

Yeah, especially with the album coming out tomorrow! :)

I'm surprised that 'Roses' is still out in front! I think 'Blinding Lights' will pass it again before Friday though, thanks to The Weeknd's album release.

I love seeing 'Physical' enter the Top 5 & 'No Time To Die' return to the Top 10 though!

Completely agree with all of this mate!

I read somewhere yesterday btw that dance monkey would currently be 4 in the chart if it wasn’t on ACR which is crazy As it’s been in the chart now for what half a year almost!

Thanks Riley! :)

That's insane! I imagine 'Someone You Loved' would still be in or near the Top 10 had that not been put on ACR yet too & that's been on the chart for well over a year now, haha.

It’s true! Strangely enough looking at the recent chart hold me while you wait is ahead of someone you loved! That would still be very close or in the top 10 aswell which as u say is just mental!

I bet 'Before You Go' would probably still be there too! :O
