Rita Ora chats to OfficialCharts.com about her new album, ORA

Rita Ora is arguably THE breakthrough artist of 2012. With three Number 1 singles to her name already this year, can she score a Number 1 album this week with her debut full-length, ORA, too? OfficialCharts.com caught the London-based singer / songwriter to find out!

Says Rita: “I worked so hard on this album, and then you let it go and don’t have any control over it. So it’s a bit scary, but I’m excited! I just wanna say thank you to all my amazing fans, and I hope I make you feel good listening to my music!”

Rita also reveals how her dad gave her a love of music from an early age – “He had an amazing ear for music, he couldn’t sing, but had an amazing ear for music.” We also asked her what it was like being a guest judge on X Factor, and if she’d accept the offer of a dinner date with contestant Kye Sones who performed a mash-up of her track R.I.P with Swedish House Mafia’s Save The World on Saturday night’s show (August 25).

We also took the opportunity to present Rita with her Official Number 1 Award for How We Do (Party), which topped the Official Singles Chart earlier this month.
