According to today’s sales reports, Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ Ft Calvin Harris has overtaken One Direction’s ‘Gotta Be You’ in the battle to top this week’s Official Singles Chart.

One Direction, who were on course yesterday for their second Number 1 in just over two months, have now slipped into second place. But it’s not just the Anglo-Irish boyband RiRi is likely to upset if she stays at the top of the Official Singles Chart on Sunday – she will also beat the 2011 chart record for the most weeks an artist has spent at Number 1 with a single, which was previously set by Adele.

Following Rihanna's return to the top of the charts this past Sunday (November 13), she and Adele have both spent five weeks at the top of the Official Singles Chart so far this year, but if she stays at Number 1 this Sunday, the Barbadian singer will have clocked up a record sixth week.

To find out who’ll win the race to the top of the Official Singles and Official Albums Charts, make sure you log on to www.theofficialcharts.com on Sunday (November 20) at 7pm.
