Rapper Logic has announced that he is retiring from music along with the release date of his final album.

The 30-year-old US rapper posted a statement online that he was bowing out of music to "be a great father". His last album, No Pressure, will be released on July 24.

He said: “Officially announcing my retirement with the release of No Pressure executive produced by No I.D. July 24th… It’s been a great decade. Now it’s time to be a great father.”

Launching to critical acclaim in 2014, Logic has scored six Top 10 albums in America, including two chart-toppers with Bobby Tarantino II (2018) and Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind (2019).

In the UK, his breakthrough hit came with 1-800-273-8255, a Top 10 hit in 2017 that took its title from the number for America's National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. In 2019 he scored Top 20 hit Homocide, a collaboration with Eminem.

Four of Logic's albums have reached the Top 40 on the Official UK Albums Chart. View Logic's chart history in full here.

I hope that it's actually good. He hasn't had a good album since The Incredible True Story. Hope it's of quality to the album it's a sequel to, Under Pressure (a 9/10 or maybe a 10/10), and not his more recent stuff.

Then again though, I highly doubt this is his last album. Artists do this all the time, and then what do you know, they come back. A lot of people have done it, Lil Uzi Vert, Jay-Z and 6ix9ine to name a few.

Regardless, if he does retire, I hope he has fun. :)
