The key dates for the 2020 Hyundai Mercury Prize have been announced.

The Prize, which celebrates the best of British and Irish music, will announce its shortlist of the twelve 2020 Albums of the Year on Thursday, 23 July. Subject to government guidelines, the main event is set to take place on Thursday, 10 September 2020 at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith.

Despite the current crisis, organisers believe that it's important to continue showcasing and celebrating the artistic achievements of British and Irish musicians across all contemporary genres.
