Pixie Lott announces new album release date

The British singer/songwriter has announced the release date for her third studio album.

Pixie Lott is set to release her third studio album, the follow-up to 2011’s Young Foolish Happy, later this year.

The singer posted an Instagram video announcing details of her new self-titled release from the set of her new music video in the South of France, telling fans ‘I hope you love it’.

Pixie Lott, which was recorded in New York and London, will be available in the UK on August 4 and will be preceded by Pixie’s, as yet unknown, new single.

The album’s lead single, Nasty, peaked at Number 9 on the Official Singles Chart when it was released in March of this year.

Pixie Lott has scored 11 Official Singles Chart Top 40 singles and 2009’s debut, Mama Do, and Boys and Girls and 2011’s All About Tonight, all hit the Number 1 spot.

Pixie’s first two studio albums both entered the Top 20 with her 2009 debut, Turn It Up, charting at Number 6 while 2011’s Young Foolish Happy, peaked at Number 18.
