Phil Collins announced as second Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park headliner

The legendary Genesis frontman is joining Green Day next summer.

Phil Collins' UK shows next year are to extend further than his residency at the Royal Albert Hall - he is to headline a massive event at Hyde Park.

On Friday June 30, 2017, Phil Collins will headline Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park, joining Green Day as headliners so far confirmed for the festival. It has been confirmed that the show will be Phil's only UK or European festival date for the entire calendar year, and will the largest solo performance of Phil's career.

"The reaction from the British public has been overwhelming. I can’t wait to play Hyde Park and see everyone there," Phil told fans in a press release.

This year's Barclaycard presents BST Hyde Park saw Take That, Stevie Wonder and Mumford & Sons headline shows across July, with the likes of Taylor Swift, Black Sabbath and Jennifer Lopez headlining previous years.

Phil has amassed three Number 1 singles and six Number 1 albums as a solo artist, earning a further six chart toppers as part of Genesis. View Phil's full UK chart history here. 

Tickets for Phil's headline show during Barclaycard presents BST Hyde Park go on sale this Friday (November 11).
