One to Watch: Inhaler

The Dublin four-piece are breathing new life into Ireland's rock music offering.

When your Dad is the frontman of the band with more Number 1 singles than any other act in Irish Chart history, you've got quite the shoes to fill.

Eli Hewson, son of U2's Bono is the lead vocalist of Inhaler, a rock four-piece going places based on talent alone, rather than who they're related to.

Having already supported the likes of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Blossoms and The Courteeners, Inhaler recently signed with Universal under Polydor, with their first new music as part of the label Ice Cream Sundae recently released on September 5.

Inhaler differentiate themselves from Ireland's other emerging rock groups such as Fontaines D.C. and The Murder Capital with a synth-backed sound, leaning into the pop sphere much more than their peers.

Vocals akin to Sam Fender blend with a Neon Trees-esque instrumentation on their most recent singles My Honest Face and It Won't Always Be Like This to create a polished and slick sound that has got the likes of Beats 1 and RTÉ 2FM singing their praises.

Check out Inhaler live when they play Cork, Galway and Dublin on September 25, 26 and 27 respectively.
