Olivia Rodrigo claims 12th week at Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with SOUR

The debut solo EP from former Walking On Cars vocalist Pa Sheehy makes a Top 10 entry.

Olivia Rodrigo rebounds to Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with SOUR, taking out at 12th non-consecutive week at the top spot.

The American’s debut album has scored the most weeks at Number 1 for a female artist album in five years, since Adele’s 25 notched up 15 non-consecutive weeks on top across 2015 and 2016.

Drake and Dermot Kennedy hold at Numbers 2 and 3 with Certified Lover Boy and Without Fear respectively, while last week’s chart-topper MONTERO from Lil Nas X drops three places to Number 4.

The record with the most physical sales this week is Pa Sheehy’s The Art of Disappearing EP, which makes its debut at Number 9. The first solo release from the singer from Dingle, Pa previously scored two Top 2 albums with Walking On Cars, including their 2016 Number 1 debut Everything This Way.

With just four weeks to go until the release of Ed Sheeran’s new album = and with him reigning at Number 1 on the singles chart, his discography floods this week’s Top 50. ÷ scales eight slots to 6, X is up 15 positions to 22, No.6 Collaborations Project returns to Top 50 at 29 and his debut album + rebounds to 39.

Finally, the iconic Nevermind by Nirvana returns to the Top 50 at Number 31 following the album’s 30th anniversary.
