Olivia Rodrigo already knows the name of her second album

"It’s really exciting to think about the next world that’s coming up for me."

Olivia Rodrigo has confirmed that she has already started work on her second album, the follow-up to her UK Number 1 debut Sour.

The big breakout star of last year, Olivia topped the Official Singles Chart twice in 2021 with Drivers License and Good 4 U, and Sour enjoyed five weeks at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

Now, she's opened up about what we can expect from its sequel. As well as confirming she is once again working with producer Dan Nigro (Conan Gray, Sky Ferreira), Olivia has teased that she already has a few songs completed, and a name in mind too.

“I have a title for my next album and a few songs,” she told Billboard. "It’s really exciting to think about the next world that’s coming up for me. I just love writing songs. I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself…just sort of explore and have fun right now.”

On working with Nigro again, Olivia added that: "The craziness of Sour being out in the world was something that really only Dan and I could relate to, and I think that has brought us closer together. I trust him so much and really enjoy the music we’ve been making.”

It was also recently confirmed that Olivia will release a very special documentary film next month on streaming service Disney+ - Driving Home 2 U (A Sour Film) will give fans an intimate look into the making of Sour, and the genesis of Olivia's transformation into a burgeoning pop superstar.

The year has already started off positively too, as Olivia picked up her first ever BRIT Award for Best International song for Good 4 U

Olivia is heading to the UK to perform for the first time this year - her Sour tour comes to British shores starting in June this year.
