Crime caper Now You See Me stops Brad Pitt's zombie epic, World War Z, in its tracks.

Now You See Me has knocked Brad Pitt’s World War Z off the top of the Official Video Chart.

The crime caper, which stars Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, has also topped the Official DVD and Official Blu-ray format Charts, as well as the Official Film On Video genre chart, too.

World War Z slides one place to Number 2 today, while Lego Batman: The Movie is new in at Number 3. The animated film, based on the popular children’s toy franchise and video games, is Number 1 on the Official Children’s Video Chart, too.

Snitch, starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, debuts at Number 4 on the Official Video Chart to give the WWE superstar his third Top 5 home video release this year (following G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Fast & Furious 6 which both peaked at Number 1). Jason Statham’s Hummingbird completes this week’s Top 5, falling three places to Number 5.

New Entries

In addition to Now You See Me (Number 1), Lego Batman (3) and Snitch (4) there are five other new entries on this week’s Official Video Chart Top 40.

The British & Irish Lions 2013: Lions Raw, the documentary based on the Lions’ tour of Australia, enters at Number 12. It is also the top selling sporting title this week, too. Supernatural - The Complete 8th Season debuts at 13, followed a few places later by Barbie & Her Sisters In A Pony Tale (15).

This week’s new entries are completed by Doctor Who - The Complete 7th Series at 29, while Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring (starring Emma Watson) is at 35.
