Several acts currently riding high in the Official Singles Chart, Official Streaming Chart and Official Albums Chart took home gongs at this weekend’s Teen Choice Awards.

Nicki Minaj, currently Number 9 in the Official Singles Chart with Pound The Alarm, took home two awards, the Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Artist and Choice R&B/Hip-Hop Song for the Number 2 hit Starships.

Having been one of the most popular songs on the Official Streaming Chart for what seems like an eternity (actually, it's been in the Top 5 since the chart was launched in May), Carly Rae Jepsen’s Call Me Maybe was deservedly crowned Choice Summer Song, while Carly herself took home the award for Breakout Artist. Meanwhile, current Official Streaming Chart topper Maroon 5 received the rather dubious honour of having penned this year’s Choice Break-Up Song with Payphone.

Perhaps sparking some tempered debate over the term ‘rock’, fun. bagged the award for Choice Rock Group, while the inescapable and previous Official Singles Chart topper We Are Young won Choice Single by a Group.

Other big winners at the ceremony included One Direction, who took home awards for Breakout Group and Summer Music Star: Group, as well as Taylor Swift and, oh yes, The Bieb.
