Waves sees off the competition to take the crown as the most listened to song in the UK this week.

Last week he called time on the game of chart tennis that had plagued the top of the Official Streaming Chart for a whole month and today, Mr Probz holds on to the Number 1 spot for a second consecutive week.

Yes it seems that along with reclaiming Number 1 on the sales-based Official Singles Chart, Mr Probz’s Waves has ended the back and forth between Clean Bandit and John Legend once and for all, after securing the top spot on the Official Streaming Chart once again.

The news was revealed by Danielle Couchman on MTV’s new Official Streaming Chart show, which is broadcast on the network’s MTV Music channel between 5 and 7pm every Monday.

US crooner John Legend’s All Of Me (Number 2) and Canadian singer/songwriter Kiesza’s Hideaway (3) also both hold their positions from last week’s chart.

Calvin HarrisSummer jumps 12 places to claim the Number 4 spot, while Clean Bandit’s Rather Be FT Jess Glynne continues its chart decent, dropping another position to Number 5.

New Entries and High Climbers

There are four new entries on the Official Streaming Chart this week. Coldplay’s A Sky Full Of Stars is the week’s highest entry at Number 74, followed by Lily Allen’s Our Time, which is in at 91 following the singer’s comeback album, Sheezus, bagging the Number 1 spot on yesterday’s Official Albums Chart.

Pitbull’s collaboration with international girlband, G.R.L., Wild Wild Love, enters the chart at 98 and rounding out the Top 100 with this week’s final new entry, is Paloma Faith with Only Love Can Hurt Like This (100).

There are two re-entries on the chart this week. US star Katy Perry’s Birthday (83) and Russian/German producer and DJ, Zedd’s Clarity FT Foxes.

American electronic dance group Cash Cash’s Take Me Home FT Bebe Rexha is the highest climber on the Official Streaming Chart this week, jumping 20 places from Number 45 to 25, while superstar producer, Pharrell, climbs 19 places with his new single, Marilyn Monroe (80).

Justin Timberlake’s Not A Bad Thing (61) is up 16 places and British girl group, Neon Jungle, climb 13 places with dance track, Welcome To The Jungle (62). Finally, DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s Turn Down For What jumps 10 places to Number 27.
