Michael Bublé’s Christmas album climbs to Number 1 on this week’s Official Albums Chart, returning to the summit for the first time in nine years.

Released in October 2011, the collection last held Number 1 in the final week of that year, and this week returns to claim a fourth non-consecutive week at the top, finishing ahead of Taylor Swift’s Evermore (2).

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia flies 15 places to Number 3, the album’s first Top 5 appearance since June, and Pop Smoke’s posthumous debut studio album Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon is up 17 spots to Number 5 – its highest placing since October.

American rapper Playboi Carti claims the week’s highest new entry with Whole Lotta Red at Number 17 – his first Top 20 collection. Australian rapper The Kid Laroi’s debut mixtape F**k Love rebounds 13 to Number 22, landing just ahead of Lil Durk, who enters at 26 with The Voice, his sixth studio album and highest charting collection in the UK.

İ live in Australia and the music scene there is thriving and the UK, USA and a lot of countries in Europe the music scene is dying. Who's bothered about the UK music no one, in Japan acdcs power up got to number 11 but still sold 300,000 copies, in UK now to get a number one you have to sell 20,000 copies, Taylor swift last above forevermore 4 million sales same as acdcs worst seller rock or bust. Music I'm afraid going downhill in the UK.

I believe Taylor Swift album will drop a few spots on the charts next week.

This week the album was able to stay as it was released on CD on it's second week only (the first week was only digital and streaming) and kids got Christmas money to buy it this past week.
On the Albums Sales Chart the album was #14 - #04 - #05 (only 1 Christmas album ahead - Michael)
On Streaming Albums Chart was #01 - #03 - #03 (only 1 Christmas album ahead - Michael Bubblé)

The song "Willow" on the other hand may climb back again as Christmas songs will go away (entered to #03, dropping to #37 and climbed back to #34 this week) but will hardly be back to the TOP 10 as there are some new releases as well but will certainly spend at least one more week inside the TOP 20.

Let's face it... on streaming Dua Lipa songs are much more New Years Eve music to be played after midnight during the new year festivities (next chart covers 01 to 08 January).

I'm not sure why so many people were still listening to Christmas music in the build-up to the New Year, but oh well, hopefully either 'Evermore' or 'Future Nostalgia' can reclaim the #1 next week. :)

In Spain, Christmas lasts until January 6th and we have the school Christmas holidays until January 7th or 10th in some regions. For me, New Year is still part of Christmas.

I guess people just feel more in the festive spirit than usual over here, haha. :)

Same! Then again, Christmas hits are all over the singles chart too, so that shows the huge amount of streaming that this got on Christmas Day alone, haha. :)

Christmas Day (25 December) streams were on a Friday so are on this week chart too.

I just checked today's numbers & if you ignore compilation albums, 'Evermore' is currently the biggest album in the UK on both iTunes & Apple Music. :)

Yeah, this chart is probably just really skewed towards Christmas Day then, since the streams for Christmas songs were absolutely massive that day, haha. :)
