The popularity of Maroon 5’s Payphone continues to be exhibited in the Official Streaming Chart, where it rings in another week as Number 1.

The Official Streaming Chart, which is compiled by the Official Charts Company on behalf of the British music industry, was launched in May of this year. It is the first chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK, to reflect the growing interest in this new generation of music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster and We7.

In a week that saw Florence & The Machine sprint to secure a second week on top of the Official Singles Chart, Adam Levine and Maroon 5 refuse to hang up on all the keen streamers, spending another week on top of the Official Streaming Chart.

With no changes in the Top 5 since last week, Flo Rida and Whistle secure a second week as runner-up, whereas Fun FT Janelle Monae hang on to Number 3. Carly Rae Jepsen is still possibly waiting for that call at Number 4 with Call Me Maybe, while Rudimental still Feel The Love at Number 5.

New entries and high climbers

With his album Channel Orange currently topping the Official R&B Chart, Frank Ocean has three new tracks on the Official Streaming Chart this week, including the highest new entry, Thinkin ‘Bout You at Number 59. Alt-J’s Tesselate and David Guetta/Lil Wayne/Chris Brown with I Can Only Imagine come in at Number 65 and 83 respectively, while Ocean’s two tracks Pyramids and Sweet Life occupy Number 96 and 97.

In a fast-moving week, Florence & The Machine’s Official Singles Chart topper Spectrum makes a big jump from Number 65 to Number 17 as this week’s highest climber. Lana del Rey moves 36 places to Number 50 with National Anthem, while Nicki Minaj climbs from Number 50 to Number 22 with Pound The Alarm in its second week on the chart. Lady Antebellum moves from Number 78 to Number 53 with Need You Now, while Alt-J finish off this week’s Top 5 high-climbers as Breezeblocks moves up 23 places to Number 68.
