Lukas Graham do the Australian chart double

It feels like 7 Years has been the Aussie Number 1 for, well, 7 Years...

Lukas Graham's 7 Years broke records here in the UK, and it has now done so in Australia too.

The track has now led the ARIA Singles Chart for eight consecutive weeks, becoming the longest reigning Number 1 single by a Danish act in the country. Aqua's Doctor Jones was Number 1 for an unprecedented 7 weeks, but Lukas Graham managed to take them down.

Lukas Graham broke the same record in the UK, when they achieved their fifth and final week. They also beat a record set by Aqua, but it was by Barbie Girl over on our shores.

Elsewhere on the chart, Alan Walker's Faded stays static at 2, Fifth Harmony's Work from Home is a non-mover at 3 and Gnash's I Hate U, I Love U jumps 19 places to Number 5.

Releasing their album so long into 7 Years' reign reduced the chance of doing the chart double, but that honour falls to the Danish four-piece as well. Lukas Graham's self-titled, global debut collection bested new entries from Pet Shop Boys, Babymetal and UK chart toppers The Last Shadow Puppets.
