George Michael's new single has been released.

This Is How (We Want You To Get High) was premiered on BBC Radio 2 earlier today (November 6) on Zoe Ball's breakfast show.

The track is the first unheard recording released since George's death on Christmas Day 2016. In 2017, his 1990 b-side Fantasy was remixed by Nile Rodgers, a project George was working on just before his death.

George began writing This is How in early 2012 before finishing touches were made in late 2015 during George’s final recording sessions.

This Is How is taken from the romantic comedy film Last Christmas, in cinemas on November 15. The movie, which has George's blessing, is based on the classic festive song of the same name, with the full soundtrack (released November 8) featuring 12 of George's solo hits and three Wham! classics.

In a recent interview, George's record label and lawyer explained that "everyone's going to be working very hard" to get Last Christmas to Number 1 this Christmas; the song spent five weeks at Number 2 following its release in December 1984, and returned to its peak position in 2017.

A new track is always nice but if they want this soundtrack to be successful, they could start by unearthing the original "Last Christmas" 7 inch single version which have never been released on Compact Disc to this day, instead I'm sure we'll have AGAIN the same mere edit of the Pudding Mix we always have on any George or Wham! compilation since 1986.
