Details of Liam Payne's new single have been revealed.

The One Direction member has confirmed that his new single will be named Familiar. While in Miami shooting the video for the track, Liam announced on Instagram that Familiar will feature Latin music star J Balvin.

J Balvin, famous for his UK Top 10 single Mi Gente, of which Beyoncé appeared on a remix, posted a snapshot of himself and Liam on set with the caption "brother from another mother". Now they mention it, we can definitely see a resemblance!

Liam's upcoming debut album is still without a title, but it is expected to feature his UK Top 10 singles Strip That Down ft. Quavo, and For You with Rita Ora, as well as the Top 40 hits Bedroom Floor, and Get Low with Zedd.

Steve Mac, this year's 2018 Best British Producer at the BRIT Awards has praised the music he has heard of Liam's so far: "I wouldn’t say it’s a body of work that will flow, but what I like is that it’s going to be hit to hit to hit. And in my world, those are the best albums."

Liam himself recently described the upcoming collection, which doesn't have a release date yet, as a "playlist", adding: "[It's] my favourite playlist of songs that I have made over the past year. So, some slow jams, there's a couple of dance songs on there, with some R&B stuff."

There's no release date set for Familiar just yet, but we're excited to hear what it sounds like. In the meantime, why not look at Liam Payne's full UK chart history?

good luck liam! see..it's not as easy making it in the u.s. right? * a lot of little mix fans would attack me on bb during their debut album and that's all i was just trying to say* how about giving the group another go? ;) i mean there's still more history making feats you and the other guys can achieve...you guys are gonna let ed get all of them instead? :D

For You is from a soundtrack and won't be on the album.
Get Low might make it on the album in a similar way that Jack U and Justin did with Where Are U Now, but since it's Zedd's song (for his album), i doubt it'll be on Liam's album.

Get Low flopped in the United States. Probably won't be on anything

it's very hard for international acts to make it here let alone singers from already-established groups. both nsync and bsb had solo acts *minus jt* that tried solo careers and nothing really came out of it. and they were 2 of the biggest selling acts in the u.s. back in the day. i think 1D should be a group again and i still think they have a chance to be as big as nsync and bsb over here.
