Far from a victim of the second album curse, Lewis Capaldi's brand-new record Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent already claims the title of 2023's fastest-selling LP so far, the Official Charts Company can confirm.

Boasting total chart units of over 77,000 in today's latest update (24 May), Lewis surpasses 2023's previous fastest-selling album - Ed Sheeran's Subtract - with over 24 hours of tracking still to be accounted for.

In its opening week, Ed's sixth Number 1 album totalled 76,000 chart units earlier this month. Read more about how Ed Sheeran claimed 2023's previous fastest-selling album with Subtract here.
