Lewis Capaldi scores his third Official Irish Singles Chart Number 1 with Before You Go

Stormzy, Ed Sheeran & Burna Boy scoop this week's highest new entry.

Lewis Capaldi has scored his third Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart.

After debuting at Number 11 last week based on less than three days of sales, Before You Go jumps ten places to lead this week’s Top 50. Lewis is now the artist with the most Number 1 singles of 2019 in Ireland, surpassing the two achieved by Ariana Grande. The Scotsman’s previous chart-topping hits are Someone You Loved and Hold Me While You Wait.

Dua Lipa holds firm at Number 2 with Don’t Start Now, last week’s Number 1 Everything I Wanted by Billie Eilish slips to Number 3, and Stormzy claims this week’s highest new entry with Own It featuring Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy. Own It is Stormzy’s third Top 10, while becoming Ed Sheeran’s landmark 40th Top 50 hit this week.
