Lewis Capaldi could claim his second Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart this week.

Taken from his upcoming album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (released May 17), Hold Me While You Wait leads today's (May 7) Official Irish Chart Update, 553 sales ahead of Lil Nas X's Old Town Road, the Number 1 track for the past three weeks.

Ireland has been one of the most successful territories for Lewis so far in his career. After a break-out few months, Lewis has claimed four hits (the Number 1 hit Someone You Loved, Grace, Bruises and Tough) on the Official Irish Singles Chart Top 50, more than any other country.

A further five new entries are poised to enter this week's Top 50, the next highest being Shawn Mendes' new track If I Can't Have You, on track to become his fourth Top 10 record at Number 8. Logic & Eminem's collaboration Homicide is also proving popular, currently at Number 12.

A ninth Top 50 hit for Billie Eilish is within reach as My Strange Addiction is set to land at 39, ahead of Bazzi's Paradise at 42, and Summer Days, Martin Garrix's collaboration with Macklemore and Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump at 45.

Find out what Lewis Capaldi's final chart position will be from 3pm on Friday May 10 on OfficialCharts.com/Ireland.
