Leigh-Anne Pinnock has hinted pretty strongly that an announcement about her upcoming solo material is on its way.

The Little Mix star told fans on Twitter that she will be dropping a voice note on social platform Discord at 5.45pm today (June 6). Her use of the hashtag #leighanneiscoming suggests the note may well contain something major.

Leigh-Anne has been gearing up for her eagerly-anticipated solo career by sharing stunning covers of Coco Jones' ICU and SWV's Weak.

Her manager Ed Millett told Music Week in May that Leigh-Anne has already shot her first video as well as "photos and trailers" for her solo launch. That launch, he teased, will be "coming very soon".

He also said that Leigh-Anne's solo style is "so different from Little Mix in a lot of ways", adding: "The music is absolutely sensational, and she is a dream to work with. She's incredibly ambitious and what's been exciting about this process is it's not her carrying on doing Little Mix pop tunes as a solo artist; this is the birth of a new global artist."

He continued: "And the people that have jumped on the train when they've heard the music are the top level people. Whether it be stylists, or photographers, or creatives, or directors, people hear the music and are like, 'I want to be on this.'"

Meanwhile, Leigh-Anne has recently announced her first-ever memoir, Believe, which will be published on October 26.

"Before I embark on this new journey," she said in the book announcement, "I want to respect my past; my life, my heritage, family, identity and most importantly, embracing & believing in my own power."

As part of Little Mix, Leigh-Anne has assembled an incredible Official Chart record including five Number 1 singles, 19 Top 10s and 32 Top 40s. The group have also spent a hefty 299 weeks in the Top 40 of the Official Albums Chart.
