Earlier this year, Lana had stated that her next album would instead be named Candy Rock Sweet, and would be released Tuesday, June 1. It is unconfirmed if these two intended projects are the same, or if Candy Rock Sweet has been scrapped.

Lana Del Rey has already released one album so far in 2021, March's Chemtrails Over The Country Club. That album reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, becoming her fifth UK chart-topper. Chemtrails is the fastest-selling album of the year so far by a solo artist, and is the bestselling vinyl album of 2021 to date.
Lana Del Rey now ranks joint-fifth among the female artists with the most UK Number 1 albums, tied with Celine Dion.
