Lana Del Rey has announced the release of her seventh major-label studio album, Blue Banisters, out October 22 via Polydor.

The record - originally titled Rock Candy Sweet - was pushed back from its initial launch date of July 2021, but it will finally be with us in just a few short weeks.

Trailed by the buzz singles of its title track, Wildflower Wildfire and Text Book, Lana has also dropped a new single from the album, titled Arcadia. Listen to it below.

Arcadia is a lush and stately piano-backed ballad where Lana both celebrates her lover and connects her love to that of America itself (a recurring theme in her work since Born To Die).

"In Arcadia, all roads that lead to you as integral to me as arteries," she sings. "That pump the blood that flows straight to the heart of me America."

Blue Banisters arrives just over six months since her sixth studio album Chemtrails Over The Country Club, which became Lana's fifth UK Number 1 album earlier this year, as well as setting a new vinyl record for a solo female act in the process.

Fans will also no doubt be excited that the album's tracklist includes several previously unreleased cuts. Dealer was originally composed by Lana and hitmaker Jack Antonoff for Chemtrails before being discarded, while Cherry Blossom has been highly sought-after since it was first teased in 2016.

Lana now ties Celine Dion for the fifth most Number 1 albums by a female solo artist in the UK. Only Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Barbra Streisand and Taylor Swift have claimed more.
