Kylie Minogue has performed new material from her upcoming album Golden on Australian TV.

Filmed at her intimate tour date earlier this month at London's Cafe de Paris, Kylie premiered material from her upcoming album Golden, including the title track.

The performance was one of three featured on 60 Minutes Australia, a one-hour magazine programme that celebrated Kylie's upcoming 50th birthday, and her 30-year anniversary in music.

Kylie performed 16 tracks at her album preview show, nine of which were sang live for the first time. As well as Golden, the album's lead single Dancing was also filmed for 60 Minutes, plus Kylie's take on the Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers classic Islands in the Stream. For her country-tinged new album, it's clear to see how Kylie is inspired by the Dollywood legend.

Discussing her new album, Kylie explains: "I just thought, I want to be truthful to myself. I just want to be authentic. The first few months of writing was therapeutic, just getting stuff off my chest. There are songs about heartbreak, falling in love, looking for love, lost love, thinking about love. Unless it's about dancing, it's normally about something like that."

Kylie is supporting the release of her new album - which her label believe will be one of their biggest ever when it's released on April 6 - with a UK arena tour this Autumn. She will also sing for The Queen at a concert in the Royal Albert Hall next month.
