Kasabian, Calvin Harris to headline V Festival 2015

The DJ and rock band are among the first acts announced for this year's V Festival.

Kasabian and Calvin Harris have been announced as the headliners for this year's Virgin Media V Festival.

The dual festival will take place on August 22 and August 23 in Hylands Park and Weston Park, with Sir Tom Jones, Sam Smith, Hozier, George Ezra, Paloma Faith and Ellie Goulding also appearing.

"V Festival is always an incredible time and I can't wait to headline it this year. See you there," Harris said in a statement.

Kasabian's Sergio Pizzorno added: "V is for victory, V is for voodoo, V is for vacuum cloud, V is for very very very very excited. See you in the fields."

Last year's V Festival was headlined by Justin Timberlake and The Killers, and included performances from Ed Sheeran, Bastille, Lily Allen and Chic.

Tickets go on sale here for the Virgin Media V Festival on Friday, March 6 at 9am.
