Janet Jackson unveils new single No Sleeep – listen

No Sleeep is the first single from Jackson’s upcoming studio album.

Janet Jackson has debuted the audio for her first single in seven years, No Sleeep. The track is the first to be lifted the singer-songwriter’s upcoming studio album, which will be released via her own label Rhythm Nation and BMG this autumn.

Jackson revealed the official audio for No Sleeep after a countdown on her website, telling fans on Twitter: “I dedicate this to My Love. #NoSl333p #ConversationsInACafe”.

Songwriting and production duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis worked alongside Jackson on No Sleeep, having previously collaborated on UK Top 10s All For You, Doesn’t Really Matter and Together Again, to name a few.

Jackson began her career at the age of seven when she first performed with her family at the MGM in Las Vegas. The worldwide breakthrough came with her third album Control, which peaked at Number 8 on the Official Albums Chart in 1986.

She has since scored a further five Top 10 albums including the chart-topping Janet. in 1993.
