Janet Jackson announces her Las Vegas residency Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis "peels back the layers of the immensely private life of Janet Jackson".

Janet Jackson has announced her Las Vegas residency.

Metamorphosis will see the music megastar play 15 dates at Park MGM this summer, bringing together "electrifying visuals, explosive dance numbers, chart-topping hits and fan favorite deep cuts".

The show will bring fans closer to Janet's private life, promoting the values of self-love, empowerment and activism that run deep within her back catalogue of smash singles.

Metamorphosis will also include a 30th anniversary celebration of her classic album Rhythm Nation, which saw Janet become the only artist is US chart history to have Number 1s from the same album across three different years.

Tickets to Metamorphosis go on general sale on Saturday, March 2 at 10 a.m. PST, while Janet's fan club members can get pre-sale access on Wednesday, Feb 27 at 10 a.m. PST.

Janet's residency begins on May 17, with the All For You songstress also rocking the stage on May 18, 21, 22, 25 and 26. She will also perform on July 24, 26, 27 and 31, with five more dates set for August 2, 3, 7, 9 and 10. Interestingly, no Metamorphosis shows are pencilled in for June, fuelling the fire behind those Glastonbury rumours.
