“I want to duet with Adele” says Kermit The Frog

After reaching Number 1 on the Official Video Chart earlier this week with his latest film, The Muppets, Kermit The Frog says he now wants to resurrect his musical career.

Kermit, who reached Number 7 in the Official Singles Chart in 1977 with Halfway Down The Stairs and scored a Number 1 album that same year with The Muppet Show (you can view The Muppets’ Official Chart history here), says he’d love to sing with British chart-topper Adele.

“It would be fun to duet with Adele some day," Kermit told OK! magazine.

However his long-term partner and fellow Muppets star, Miss Piggy, shot him down straight away:

"Sorry Adele, the frog isn't available anytime soon."
