Gotye and Kimbra’s Somebody That I Used To Know has climbed to the top of the US singles chart.

The track, which spent five non-consecutive weeks at the top of the UK’s Official Singles Chart earlier this year, has knocked Fun FT Janelle Monae’s We Are Young (Number 2) off the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. Earlier this month we revealed Somebody That I Used To Know is the UK’s biggest selling single of 2012 so far.

British boybands The Wanted and One Direction continue their dominance of the US charts with Glad You Came and What Makes You Beautiful sitting at Number 3 and Number 4, respectively. Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend completes the Top 5.

Over on the Billboard Top 200 album chart, Lionel Richie’s country album Tuskegee has knocked Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded off the top spot. Minaj slips into third place, while Adele’s 21 holds firm at Number 2 after 60 weeks on the Billboard Top 200, Monica’s New Life is a new entry at Number 4, and One Direction’s Up All Night is at Number 5.
