Girls Aloud announce tenth anniversary tour and Greatest Hits album

At a press conference held in London this lunch time, Girls Aloud revealed that they will release a new Greatest Hits album and will embark on an arena tour to celebrate their tenth anniversary.

At a press conference held in London this lunch time, Girls Aloud revealed that they will release a new Greatest Hits album and will embark on an arena tour to celebrate their tenth anniversary.

Since winning ITV’s hit reality TV show, Popstars: The Rivals, in 2002, Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh have gone on to become the biggest selling girl group of the 21st Century. To date, they have racked up over 4.3 million singles sales, and have scored 20 Top 10 hits (including four Official Number 1s). Girls Aloud went on hiatus in 2009 to pursue projects outside the group.

At the press conference at London’s Corinthia Hotel in Whitehall, the five piece revealed that they will be embarking on a 12 date UK arena tour to celebrate their tenth anniversary.

Tickets go on sale from www.gigsandtours.com at 9am on Friday, October 26.

The group’s come back track, Something New, which is their first new single since 2009’s Untouchable, will be released on November 18, and their Greatest Hits album, Ten, will follow on November 26.
