Gavin James claims his highest charting album ever, A Star Is Born holds at Irish Albums Number 1

New entries entering the Top 50 this week come from Andrea Bocelli, Sean & Conor Price, and Celtic Woman.

Gavin James claims the highest new entry on this week’s Official Irish Albums Chart with his second album Only Ticket Home.

The Dublin-born singer-songwriter claims his best ever chart placing, debuting at Number 2. Gavin's debut record Bitter Pill peaked at Number 5.

Meanwhile, A Star Is Born's Motion Picture Cast Recording – performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper - holds at Number 1 for a fourth week with a lead of 901 combined chart sales.

Also in this week's Top 5, Andrea Bocelli matches the peak of his previous album Cinema, going straight in at Number 3 with Si. 

New entries and high climbers

Sean & Conor Price, the Irish brothers who reached the 2017 X Factor UK live finals, debut inside the Top 10 with their EP called Dreamer (8), while Fleetwood Mac's The Very Best Of rises eight to Number 9 following their announcement of a 2019 show in Dublin. Their classic album Rumours also makes gains, up 14 to Number 25.

All-female Irish ensemble Celtic Woman land at Number 13 with their 13th studio album Ancient Land, Tom Odell’s new collection Jubilee Road enters at 27, and Sligo-born singer Tommy Fleming opens at 29 with his latest album Voice of Hope II.

Queen’s Greatest Hits (32) and Platinum Collection (40) return to the Top 50 following the release of Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. Finally, Japanese musician Joji lands at Number 37 with Ballads 1, and Robyn makes her fourth Official Irish Albums Chart Top 50 appearance with Honey at Number 38.
