Game Of Thrones becomes fastest-selling TV box set of the decade

The Season 4 box set tallies the biggest 1st week of any Number 1 box set since 2004.

Game Of Thrones – The Complete Fourth Season has become the fastest-selling Official Video Chart Number 1 TV box set of the last 10 years.  

Shifting over 157,000 copies this week, the box set has outdone its predecessor Game Of Thrones – The Compete Third Season’s first week count by over 7,000 copies, becoming the fastest-selling chart-topping TV box set since 2004’s Little Britain – The Complete First Series, which sold over 224,000 in its first week on sale.  

Game Of Thrones, which is an adaptation of George. R. R. Martin’s fantasy novel series, counts Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Alfie Allen and Peter Dinklage among its cast members, and has won an impressive haul of accolades including; BAFTAs, Golden Globes, Emmy Awards and Critics’ Choice Television Awards in its four years on screen.
