Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them refuses to be tamed – it's looking a dead cert to claim the Number 1 spot on the Official Video Chart this week.

The Harry Potter spin-off, which stars Eddie Redmayne, takes pole position in today's sales flash, already shifting an impressive 288,700 units this week so far.

In fact, the fantasy blockbuster is outselling the rest of the Top 200 combined at this halfway point, and is the second fastest-selling DVD/Blu-ray of the year, behind Bridget Jones's Baby.

Last week's Number 1 Arrival slips to 2, Marvel's Doctor Strange falls to 3, Finding Dory holds firm at 4, and Trolls climbs back up to 5.
